In case you haven’t noticed, we’ve moved to Colorado, or as Melody puts it, “The Great Square State.” Now that we are somewhat settled in we have had a chance to do some sightseeing and actually enjoy that humidity-free climate.
A few weeks ago we took a drive along Skyline Drive which is extremely close to our house. To give a bit of a description of Skyline Drive, this is a one-lane, one-way road that goes up and along a ridge line which overlooks Canon City and the rest of the bowl shaped valley where we live. From up there you can actually see all the way to Florence which is over 20 miles away.
The next picture is from the top of Skyline Drive viewing our neighborhood behind us.
This is Webb looking down on the opposite side of Skyline Drive which overlooks US 50 leading to Salida, Gunnison, and Westcliffe…where we hope to visit soon. The scenery is pretty amazing out here if you can’t already tell…

Your pictures totally make me want to go to the Great Square State!
Glad you guys made it there safely and are getting settled!
