Today (Wednesday)I went up to the Springs for the afternoon to waste time engaging in consumer culture. After wandering around the Archiver’s scrapbook store I decided to use my trusty Garmin GPS to find the local mall. After entering the address and obediently following it’s commands (in one point six miles turn right, in one point three miles make a U-turn) I found myself being told to turn into a large parking lot of what appeared to be a campus of some sort. The GPS must’ve mistakenly thought that this was the mall. Thinking i must need to simply cut through to get to the actual mall, I proceeded to get utterly lost. What made this all the more bizarre was that i was lost inside the Focus on the Family compound. That place is freakin’ HUGE!!! And extremely sterile in a weird institutionalized way.
